How TikTok Influencers Can Help Your Small Business

There has been a huge surge in the popularity of TikTok during the pandemic. Instagram influencers who successfully utilise their Instagram platforms for paid promotions have expanded their social media presence onto TikTok. Many of them have created a successful platform on the app, creating sponsored content despite not even being TikTok’s original demographic. As well as this, there are also TikTok influencers who have grown their following solely on this platform. So, what does this mean for you and how can this help your business?

Reach New Audiences

TikTok influencers can be the key to reaching audiences who may not have been exposed to your business otherwise. TikTok is available in over 150 countries and has over 1 billion users. The platform has grown so large that its users aren’t just generation Z anymore either. TikTok’s users are between the ages of 13-40. These users would likely have been more difficult to attract through more conventional methods of advertising.

Using TikTok influencers to promote your business can be hugely beneficial given that it’s a non-invasive form of social media marketing. TikTok users don’t perceive influencers who use product placements or sponsored posts to be as invasive in terms of marketing, and the #ads appear much more genuine. They’re also more likely to watch the entire TikTok video too if they enjoy watching that influencers content.

Less Competitive Marketing

Another great benefit to using TikTok influencers is that the risk of consumers skipping your adverts is largely reduced. There is also the added benefit of having fewer brands to compete with! As TikTok is relatively new and still growing, many brands have shied away from utilising TikTok influencers, meaning that you may be one of the few brands that users are exposed to during their screen time.

Reach New Locations

TikTok influencers can also be used to expand your demographic in terms of location. If you’re struggling to gauge customers from outside specific areas, TikTok influencers may be the perfect solution for this. The platform allows you to engage with specific geographical areas, meaning that you can use local influencers to reach your target audience in specific locations. If users see local influencers sponsoring your product, they may be more inclined to make a purchase as the product can seem personal for them.

Promote Your Small Business

Another great reason to use TikTok influencers to promote your small business is that the videos are easy to repurpose! You can upload the sponsored #ad content to your brand’s TikTok account, your Instagram Reels or even your business Facebook page. This may drive up engagement for your brand socials, as fans of the influencers flock to see their content posted on your social media pages.

Finally, the cost-per-view for TikTok videos is, on average, much lower than a range of other forms of advertising and marketing. Not only could you be expanding your demographic and building better customer relationships by using TikTok influencers, but you could also be cutting costs!
